Long · 150 words

VowelPlay is a daily word puzzle for iPhone and iPad. Each day brings a new five-letter mini crossword with the vowels missing. Players drop A, E, I, O and U into the gaps until every word across and down is real. It sounds simple, until TAKEN turns out to be TOKEN. A new puzzle arrives at 3 am local time. Daily solves build a streak, protected by freezes earned every five days in a row. Results share as a time and a row of squares, never the answer. The archive of past puzzles is free to play, with a trophy for every completed month. Home Screen, Lock Screen and Control Center widgets, iCloud sync and Game Center come built in. There are no ads, no account and no trackers. VowelPlay is made by Brayden Towns, an independent developer in Australia. VowelPlay launches on the App Store on 29 October 2026.

Key features

The story

VowelPlay is a one-person project from Brayden Towns, an independent developer based in [CITY], Australia, who designed and built it. The idea is small on purpose: take the five-letter word game, fold it into a tiny crossword, and leave out only the vowels. What’s left is a puzzle about doubt. Five letters, a few possibilities, and the moment it clicks. It was made to be a calm daily habit: one puzzle a day, no ads, no account and no tracking.
